We could not find any official “HappyMod Pro” or “HappyMod Extra”. Every HappyMod build we have checked is the same app, com.happymod.apk, with no paid or premium edition. Files sold or offered under those names are either a renamed copy of the normal app or a different app using the HappyMod name. This guide shows how to tell which one you have.
What we checked
On October 25, 2026 we downloaded the seven HappyMod builds listed on our old versions page, from 3.2.1 to 3.4.0, and read each file’s manifest. All seven:
- use the package name
com.happymod.apk; - are signed with the same certificate, whose SHA-256 fingerprint starts
C3:84:6F:1B:45:B5:79:E6; - contain no “Pro”, “Extra” or “Premium” edition name.
The HappyMod app is free to download, and none of the builds we checked contain a paid edition or unlock key. A “Pro” version has nothing official to unlock.
What “HappyMod Pro” and “HappyMod Extra” files usually are
- A renamed copy of the normal app. Same package and certificate, a new file name. Harmless, but not different from the regular version.
- A re-signed or modified copy. Same package name, different certificate. Android will refuse to install it over a genuine HappyMod (“App not installed”), and you can’t know what was changed.
- A different app using the name. A different package name, often with extra ads, sign-up pages or permission requests. These are the risky ones.
- A download page, not an app. “Pro” download buttons that lead to surveys, “human verification”, or paid unlock codes. Real APKs don’t need any of that.
How to check the file you have
- Look at the size. HappyMod 3.4.0 is 21,021,090 bytes (20.05 MB). A “Pro” file that is much smaller or much larger is a different build.
- Compare the SHA-256 checksum with the list on How We Check APK Files. A free checksum (hash) app from Google Play can calculate it on your phone. If the checksum matches a version we list, it is that version, whatever it’s called.
- Check the package name after installing. Open Settings → Apps → HappyMod → App details or use an app inspector. Anything other than
com.happymod.apkis not HappyMod. - Check the signing certificate on a computer with
apksigner verify --print-certs file.apkfrom the Android SDK build tools. The SHA-256 digest should matchC3:84:6F:1B:.... - Look the file up on VirusTotal. Upload it or search its SHA-256 at virustotal.com.
Red flags
- It asks you to pay, enter a card, or complete a survey to unlock “Pro”.
- It asks for Accessibility access, SMS, contacts or call logs. HappyMod 3.4.0 requests none of these; see HappyMod permissions explained.
- It promises things HappyMod doesn’t do, such as unlimited in-game currency in online games or “no ban” guarantees.
- Android says “App not installed” when you try to install it over your existing HappyMod. That means a different signature.
- Play Protect flags it as harmful, not just as an unknown app.
HappyMod Pro vs HappyMod Extra vs HappyMod
| Name | Official edition? | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| HappyMod | Yes, the only one we found | Free app store for MOD APKs, com.happymod.apk |
| HappyMod Pro | No official release found | Usually a renamed or modified copy, or a lookalike app |
| HappyMod Extra | No official release found | Usually a renamed or modified copy, or a lookalike app |
If a real new edition is ever released, we will check its package name and certificate the same way and list it on the old versions page.
FAQs
Is HappyMod Pro better than HappyMod?
We found no official Pro version, so there is nothing that is better. Use the regular version and keep it updated.
I already installed “HappyMod Pro”. What should I do?
Check its package name and permissions. If it isn’t com.happymod.apk, or it has Accessibility, SMS or contacts access, uninstall it, then install the normal version from the download page.
Does HappyMod have a paid plan?
Not in the builds we checked. The app includes advertising SDKs (Unity Ads and Mintegral), which is how free apps like this usually earn money.
